Kurt Liepmann is a Senior Applications Engineer in the Illumination product line with OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc., focused on the growth and development of horticulture, human centric and outdoor lighting applications. He has over 13 years of LED lighting design experience in a wide array of applications including general lighting, horticulture lighting, aerospace interior lighting, and automotive exterior lighting. Mr. Liepmann holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society’s Testing Procedures Committee and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers’ Plant Growth LED Lighting Committee. Mr. Liepmann’s many accomplishments have allowed him to be recognized by LEDs Magazine in its inaugural “40 Under 40” class in 2020.
